General Technician Role

From 2ch HiFi systems to full Dolby Theatres, non automated entertainment to fully automated true smart homes and everything in between...

Design, pre-wiring, commissioning and fault finding of;

• IT Systems - Patch panel, router, switch and WAP setup
• Security Systems - Arrowhead, DSC and Paradox
• Access Control Systems - General residential
• IP Camera Surveillance Systems - Dahua, Hikvision, Luma and Unifi
• Audio Visual Distribution Systems - AMS, HDMI Matrix, Multiroom, Dolby/THX Theatre
• AV and Electrical Automation Systems - Control4, KNX, C-Bus (Space Logic)
• MATV - General residential/commercial

Our primary maintenance portfolio is based on Control4 systems which often are coupled with KNX or C-Bus.

Advanced logic programming abilities would be an advantage in this role.

Competent access control/security technicians or an electrician wanting to advance in AV Automation can be trained.

AV Installations Limited has been building and maintaining technology systems for 20 years this year, it is our 9th year having our HiFi showroom New Zealand TV & HiFi Limited (previously New Brighton TV & HiFi Limited).

We are based at 7 Battersea St, Sydenham, Christchurch, opening hours are 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm Saturday, technician hours can be negotiable from 35 hours per week.
