In Depth
3LCD technology
All Epson projectors are based on 3-chip LCD technology for amazing colour, incredible detail and solid reliability. 3LCD’s 3-chip architecture dedicates an entire chip to process each primary colour – red, green and blue, continuously. Unlike single-chip technology that delivers colour sequentially, you get full-time colour. The result is vibrant, realistic images and video all delivered with 3LCD’s true-to-life colour.
Up to 3x brighter colours with Epson projectors
Epson projectors use 3LCD engines that have no colour wheel with a white segment and therefore don't force a trade-off between white and colour brightness. In fact, Epson projectors have up to 3x brighter colours than their leading competitive 1-chip DLP projectors. If you are looking for business and education projectors or 720p home entertainment projectors, know that choosing Epson projectors means up to 3x brighter colours. If you are looking for 1080p home entertainment projectors, you consistently get 2x and up to 3x brighter colours than competitor 1-chip DLP projectors.1
Laser light source
Experience astonishing quality and reliability with Epson’s laser light source. The laser light source and advanced electrostatic filter deliver up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free use, and consistent performance for total peace of mind.
Experience amazing brightness and big screen
Powered by 3LCD technology and Epson’s laser optical engine, the EH-LS970B is capable of producing white light and colour light output of 4,000 lumens, delivering bright images perfect for everyday entertainment and beyond. With its ultra short-throw lens, the EH-LS970B delivers an impressive 150-inch display from a distance of 28 cm from the wall — perfect for big-screen entertainment in any space.
Experience stunning 4K
Make your home centre stage for all the action with advanced pixel-shifting technology that works in parallel with three individual high-definition LCD chips to produce an exceptionally sharp 4K (8.3 million pixels) picture without sacrificing picture brightness.
True, deeper, richer blacks
With an exceptional 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the EH-LS970 delivers stunning depth and clarity across every scene. Dark areas appear richer and more detailed, while bright highlights maintain impressive brilliance creating a cinematic experience filled with lifelike contrast and realism.
Image quality enhancement
Scene Adaptive Gamma enhances depth and tonal balance, revealing shadow detail while preserving natural highlights. Dynamic Tone Mapping intelligently optimises HDR brightness and contrast, analysing each scene in real time to precisely adjust brightness, contrast, and colour for a consistently refined viewing experience. The objective is to preserve as much detail as possible in both dark and bright areas of the image simultaneously, ensuring that the projected content appears more visually appealing. OFF ON
AI image enhancement
Powered by advanced AI image processing, the EH-LS970B takes picture quality to the next level. Its AI super resolution technology intelligently sharpens fine details for crystal-clear images, while the AI perceptual quantiser optimises brightness and contrast to deliver natural, lifelike tones. Additionally, de-contour smooths out banding and artifacts, ensuring every scene appears seamless and true to life. OFF ON
Frame interpolation
Frame interpolation technology inserts multiple new frames between the original ones, so motion appears smoother, sharper and more realistic.
10-bit colour processing
Full 10-bit HDR colour processing accepts 100% of the HDR source. When combined with the extreme brightness of 4,000 lumens, HDR content is faithfully reproduced for an exceptional visual performance.
Immersive gaming
Gamers can now take full advantage of the latest generation of gaming on a 150" 4K display with HDR. The near-seamless integration into your gaming setup creates a captivating experience, where the game world expands beyond the confines of a traditional screen. With input lag times below 20 ms, it ensures a responsive gaming experience, while the vibrant colours and sharp details bring games to life in a way that's both exhilarating and visually stunning.
Hassle free setup
Available for both iOS and Android™ devices, the Epson Setting Assistant app makes it easy to set up the projector and adjust display size in seconds.
Complete solution
For a complete solution, bundle your EH-LS970B with an ambient light rejection (ALR) 120-inch screen. The ALR screen enhances the image quality in bright environments by maximising projection light and cutting out any other type of light.
