The Advance Paris A8 Apex is a compact hybrid integrated amplifier from the Apex series, launched to mark Advance Paris's 30th anniversary. It pairs a tube preamplifier stage using two ECC81/12AT7 valves with a Class A/B power stage delivering 76 W per channel into 8 Ω, bringing much of the character of the larger flagship hybrids into a smaller chassis.

The "tube" sound
Two tubes in the preamplifier section give the A8 Apex a warm, musical and non-fatiguing presentation, while the solid-state output stage supplies the control and power to drive a wide range of loudspeakers.

High Bias
A front-panel High Bias switch increases the bias current so the amplifier stays in Class A for longer at higher listening levels.

Made for the TV, too
The HDMI eARC input lets the A8 Apex switch on with your television and follow the TV remote's volume, making it a simple upgrade for TV and movie sound.

Flexible system building
Tone controls (bass, treble, balance and loudness), a subwoofer output, a pre-out/main-in for adding a power amplifier, a 12 V trigger and adjustable auto-standby (5 to 60 minutes) make it easy to build and grow a system around the A8 Apex.
